Raymond Radiguet (1908 -1962) was a French novelist and playwright. One of the best-known French intellectuals of the 20th century, he was a member of the French Resistance during World War II. His work is widely considered to be an important contribution in the avant-garde of modern literature, with its focus on social concerns, in particular in regards to class issues. The most significant work in his career was his novel Les Faux Monnayeurs (The Counterfeiters), which has been translated into English by Robert A. Morsberger as Public Enemies.
